Caring Community Partner Award: Naomi Justason
Our Caring Community Partner Award is awarded annually to a person or organization that has made a significant contribution to our organization such as a commitment to service, in-kind or volunteer support, or a government program or policy development that has positively impacted persons with a mobility disability. The recipient of our 2019-2020 award is Naomi Justason.
Naomi is a dedicated Occupational Therapist with the Extra-Mural Program in the Fredericton area. She works closely with many of our frontline staff to ensure our service participants are accessing all the equipment available to ensure their safety and empower their independence.
Naomi goes above and beyond for the individuals she works with and does so much more than simply recommending equipment. Naomi is always willing to strategize plans, brainstorm out of the box ideas and lend a hand in advocacy. Our team relies on her for her expertise and quick, reliable responses and because of this our organization is better able to support individuals living with a mobility disability.
Naomi cares about the work that she does and invests in the people she supports.
In the words of one of our shared clients, “Awesome. Just Awesome. That’s all I can say. She’s been really patient and understanding with me.”
